Care tips

The Cymbidium grows and blooms best in a bright spot, but does not like direct sunlight. Do you notice that the plant is becoming duller in color? Then it probably has too much light.

Feed the plant with orchid fertilizer once a month: follow the recommended concentration on the product label; the Cymbidium does not need any more than that.

The Cymbidium is one type of orchid that likes the cold. The ideal temperature is between 13 and 20 degrees Celsius.

Would you like the plant to flower multiple times? Cut off the branches and place the Cymbidium in a cool spot with plenty of light, preferably around 54°F. With a little patience, new branches will gradually appear.

Immerse the plant in water once a week for about 10 minutes, including the root ball. Allow the water to drain off before returning the Cymbidium to its pot.

The plant is not suitable for consumption by humans or animals.
